Sweetened Cereal .6. by ~kiwi-sneakers:iconkiwi-sneakers:

I sat with Allie and Hannah in the arcade of our hotel, playing pinball, trying to see who could go the longest without losing. So far, Allie was winning, I was in a close second, and Hannah was pretty much epically failing. But she was pwning arse at the jump rope game with the lights that go in that big circle around you, which I actually fell off of, I forgot to look at my feet when I landed, and… yeah, you get the picture. Allie had one more shot, and if she rocked out this round, she’d get the high score.
I was sitting on the floor, leaning against the wall next to the pinball machine, staring at my phone, like maybe it would turn into ice cream or a million dollars or something. But it did ping annoyingly all of a sudden, like I had willed the ping to happen. I checked the screen, and it was a text from Joe, wondering if Hannah, Allie and I wanted to have a movie marathon with his familia. I quickly texted back a yes, even though I didn’t ask Allie or Hannah, they’d go, I knew they would.
“So who wants to ditch and go have a movie marathon with the guys?” I said nonchalantly as I stood up, dusting off my butt for gross arcade-floor-dust.
“ME!” Allie and Hannah yelled so loudly that the little kids playing the Spongebob game, the couple sitting at the bar, the concierge sitting at his desk, and the two cute bellboys looked at us. Allie let the pinball fall down, and she lost the game, but entered her initials for the second place slot on the pinball machine.
The second she was done, we ran past those really cute bellboys, grinning like crazy fools as we began to talk about what to wear and what movies to bring and what time we’d get picked up at and……

An hour later the three of us were sitting in my hotel room, my sister and brother noisily playing Nintendo 64, with our stuff all on our laps. I had two movies, The Emperor’s New Groove, and TMNT, as well as my cell phone, which was in the front pocket of my jeans. Hannah was holding Juno, only the best movie ever, and Dodgeball, another amazing movie, and she was nervously picking at her black nail polish. Allie gripped her two movies tightly, like she thought someone was going to try and steal them from her if she let go even the slightest bit. She was holding Sweeney Todd and Blades of Glory.
My phone pinged, making all of us jump. “SHUT UP KAYLEE!” My brother and sister yelled at me, even though it had been the first bit of noise Allie, Hannah or I had made in the last ten minutes, because we were waiting for that ping.
I pulled my phone out of my pocket, flipped it open, and there was the text we had been waiting for. “Hey, we’re in the lobby, where are you? :-)”
“Let’s go!” I smiled, getting up off of my bed. “Bye guys, see you later.” I said, ruffling each of my sibling’s hair before heading out the door.
The three of us raced down the stairs, we simply refused to take the elevator for some reason, and slid into the lobby, each of us doing rockstar poses. “Hi!” I smiled at Kevin, Nick, and Joe, pulling out of my rockstar pose.
“Who’s ready for some movie madness?” Kevin asked.
Allie, Hannah and I were about to raise our hands when Nick added, “DVD drama?”
We were about to raise our hands again, when Joe ended, “A crazy cinematic adventure?”
The three of us thrust our hands in the air before the guys could put anything else in. The six of us began laughing as Kevin led us out to the car.

When we got to the boys’ hotel room, Joe’s mom was sitting on a stool at the breakfast counter. “Boys…” She stood up, holding a few different magazines. On the front cover of all of them were pictures of Kevin, Joe, Nick and I at the Fender Shop, and the four of us walking around New York with titles and captions like, “The New Jonas GF?” and “Which Jonas Will She Pick?”.
“Oh my gosh.” Kevin said, picking one out of the bunch and flipping through it. “I hate tabloids. They make everything seem worse than it was.”
“What do you mean?” Allie asked.
“Look.” Kevin pointed at a big blown up picture of the four of us walking down a street, with three little inset pictures, one of me holding hands with Joe, one of me hugging Kevin, and one of Nick and I where Nick’s arm was around my shoulders. The caption at the bottom read, “Jonas Brothers All Pick the Same Girl?”
“Ugh.” Joe frowned. “I hate tabloids so bad.”
“It’s like high school, with gossip.” Hannah commented. “Like it’s only you that knows the truth, and no one else will listen.”
“Exactly.” Nick nodded, looking at a different magazine.
“I’m so sorry guys…” I frowned and looked down at my shoes.
“Kaylee, it’s not your fault.” Joe’s mom hugged me first.
“Yeah, don’t worry Kaylee, just ignore it.” Kevin came over and hugged me too.
“Okay, I’ll try, I guess.” I shrugged. I looked up at Denise, who smiled.
“Don’t worry hun, everything will be alright.” She patted the top of my head.
   “Thanks Denise.” I smiled.
“To lighten the mood, who wants to watch a movie?” Joe smiled and ran over to the big screen, holding up a fan of six different movies.
We all laughed and picked a movie out, Blades of Glory. Joe popped it in the high-tech DVD player and we all sat down to watch it, while Denise made microwave popcorn (the best kind). I sat on Joe’s lap while we watched the movie, and he wrapped his arms around my waist, holding me close to him.

When all six movies were over, Hannah, Allie and I were totally passed out on the floor. I was barely awake, trying to talk to Joe to keep myself up, but pretty much failing at it. Hannah was sleeping, her head resting on Nick’s shoulder, and they were holding hands. Allie was also sleeping, her head in Kevin’s lap, which I found odd, since Kevin and Allie only liked each-other as friends.
Joe shook my hand, “Kaylee?” He turned my head so I could look at him, “Are you awake?”
I shook my head, and Joe started laughing. I smiled and said, “You should probably take us home…”
“Okie dokie.” Joe smiled, and got up from the couch, pushing Kevin over so that Allie fell to the floor loudly. “Kevin, we gotta take the girls home.”
Kevin looked up at Joe, waved his hand in a pee-shaw-kind-of-way, and said, “Meeeeehhh.”
Joe started laughing and went to the room next door, when is when I fell asleep.
All of a sudden, Hannah, Allie and I were piling out of the Jonas’ car, and we were walking into our hotel, dragging our feet, all still sleeping, but somehow making it through the spinning front door. Joe grabbed my elbow just as I went to walk into the hotel, and I turned around, and looked at him sleepily. “Kaylee?” He asked, looking sad.
“Hmm?” I asked, waking up a little. I could barely see Joe, it was pitch black out, and the only lights were from the car, and the lights from in the hotel.
“Sleep good.” He smiled, and kissed my forehead. He winked at me, and laughed. “I’ll text you tomorrow.”
“O-okay.” I said, my face turning red, and my eyes widening.
Joe hopped shotgun, and he waved to me out his window as Denise drove off into the darkness. I waved back, even though he couldn’t see me. And that’s when I knew it… I had fallen for Joseph Adam, and I had fallen hard.
I walked into the hotel where Hannah and Allie were standing, rubbing their eyes and yawning. The three of us walked upstairs, neither of them giving any hint that they had seen anything. We went our separate ways at my room, which I walked into sleepily, and collapsed onto the pull out couch, where I began a long night of dreams about Joe…
